Looking for the perfect chicken dinner? Here's a tasty orange flavored chicken recipe that you can easily make from home. Your family will ask for this one again and again, and they'll never know it's gluten free.

2 lbs of boneless and skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into cubes (about 2")
1 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup organic wheat rice flour or other gluten free flour
2 tbsp of butter

1 1/2 cups of water
1/3 cup of rice vinegar
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp of orange juice
1 tbsp orange zest
1/2 tsp ginger, finely minced
2 1/2 tbsp all natural liquid aminos or other gluten free substitute for soy sauce
1 cup of brown sugar
2 tbsp of green onion
1/4 cup of cold water
1 tsp garlic, minced
3 tbsp cornstarch

Preheat your oven up to 350 degrees. Combine the flour, pepper, and garlic powder in a plastic bag. Place chicken cubes in bag and shake up to coat evenly with flour mixture. Melt the butter and pour it into a 13x9" baking dish. Arrange the chicken in your pan and cook for about 30 minutes uncovered.

While the chicken is baking, combine together orange juice, water, liquid aminos, rice vinegar, and the orange zest in a medium sauce pan or large skillet. Whisk together over medium high heat. Stir in the green onion, ginger, garlic, and brown sugar and allow the mix to boil. Combine the cold water and cornstarch until dissolved. Add to the sauce and stir until it thickens up.

Turn over all pieces of chicken in the pan. Pour half of the sauce over the chicken. Bake for 30-40 minutes more, while basting every 7-10 minutes.

Serve the orange chicken over rice and use extra sauce for dipping or over the rice for added flavor.
